right there in the office with us. we have the new visa program that we're working with so that we can extend to people that are victims of crimes. the elder abuse, of course, we spoke about the forensic center and we have a partnership with them. we're working closely with a variety of organizations regarding hate crimes. we have a whole list of services. information that we give out to parents, talking about preventing becoming involved in a gang. the last one is the economic crime unit, there are many victims of financial crimes that to not have the resources necessary to be compensated. now, our department contacts other agencies and makes notifications when required by law, such as elder abuse and child abuse and working closely with adult protective services. the department provides training during a variety of times tested on available services during academy training when they have, provided to victims and for roll-call in the setting. we have release stepped up on training with regards to cultural awareness, d

that is what we use. this is not just based on national information, this is based on surveys in downtown. the surveys for downtown for making judgments as to how many of the strips are based but automobile are based on different retail sites, many of which do not have parking. macy's does not have on-site parking, these are two public garages on either side. if you're asking people if they parked on site, they would say no. this area is surrounded by 4500 spaces that the public has billed at the public's expense that is within ready walking distance. our feeling is aside from a few days and a few hours in the holiday season which the sponsor believes is critical, there is a lot of parking. if someone would like to drive, they can find parking. the way that we deal with this is not on the generation side but what is the impact. the project does what you would expect when you build a garage, this concentrates the impact. the project has impacted fifth and mission. you don't concentrate cars at the site. th

i am a land-use attorney. i guess i am the only one so far in favor of this, at least in favor of the time period to appeal ceqa determination after the planning division. this is not pro-developer. this is pro-family. most of the actual exemptions go to families who are bringing in their elderly parents or having additional children, and homes tend to be small. one example, but not the only, and i speak for a lot of my former clients. my client, when she was pregnant, three months later, she found herself in front of the discretionary review at the planning commission. the planning commission unanimously approved. she spent a great deal of money on building permits, consultant fees. all she wanted to do was add a one-bedroom to create a 400- square-foot third floor. after spending all that money on the developing, someone filed an appeal to the board of appeals, and the day before that hearing -- and this is typical -- a categorical extension appeal was made to the board of supervisors. i have never understoo
